PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Annotation
The key prerequisite that makes foundation for successful implementation of the new Bachelor’s Degree Program in “Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology” is its efficient management structure. The scheme that clearly identifies the roles and responsibilities of the personnel integrated into the program management process as well as general principles of subordination have been developed by the international project team. Naturally, the proposed model is completely appropriate to the learning management regulations adopted at TSU. Despite the model has been specially elaborated for the new program, we believe that some innovative components and benefits of the model might be adopted and shared by our colleagues, thus facilitating implementation of its key principles within the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences and encouraging its further University-wide dissemination.
Piloting of the Management Scheme will begin with running of the New Program. The program is aimed to offer 3 subprograms to the undergraduate students. Modular teaching is one of novelties of the program that along with other innovations requires formation of the special management structure - the Program Management Committee under the Program Director in order to coordinate and monitor the teaching/learning process.
The Program Management Scheme and the Regulations given below describe the roles and responsibilities of main structural units involved in program governance.
